← SCARF — Neuroscience for BAs
Module 0 · 5 min

Welcome

How the course is structured and what you'll be able to do at the end.

You'll learn
  • Understand the course promise
  • Know what SCARF is (in general terms) before going deep

Ever seen a stakeholder turn defensive at a seemingly harmless question? Or a team go on alert when a change is announced 2 days before? It's not personal. It's neuroscience. SCARF gives you a framework to anticipate and prevent those moments.

How it works

  • 11 modules, ~3 hours total, at your own pace.
  • Each lesson has clear goals, stakeholder-focused examples, and a mini-check.
  • Your progress is saved locally in your browser.
  • At the end: a 10-question quiz that validates your understanding.

What you'll be able to do at the end

  1. Quickly identify which of the 5 dimensions is threatened in a tense conversation.
  2. Rephrase „defensive-trigger” messages into neutral or positive ones.
  3. Lead more effective workshops with less participant resistance.
  4. Conduct requirements interviews where the stakeholder tells you what they actually think.
  5. Communicate changes (scope, deadline, priority) without creating panic.
